We had just returned from a trip to northern Michigan seeing the beautiful fall colors. Amber gave birth to a rich, mahogany brown cria, reminding us of the trees in Charlevoix, hense his chosen name. Say Charlevoix fast and you hear "Charley Boy." He is a phenotypical example of a huacaya alpaca. He's balanced, well-proportioned, and exhibits full density and coverage that includes a full topknot and wooly facial fiber. His black points and mahogany brown color make him stand out in the herd.

Charlevoix splits his lineage between two powerhouse bloodlnes in the industry, Ppperuvian Royal Fawn on his dam's side and Snowmass Peruvian Casanova on his sire's side. Ppperuvian Royal Fawn, a full Accoyo Peruvian import herdsire was the 1999 and 2000 "Get-of-Sire" winner at the AOBA National Show. He sold for an incredible price of $600,000.00 in 2005. Some would argue that no other alpaca in the country has had as much impact on the industry. Snowmass Peruvian Casanova had a micron count of 18.3 at 3.5 years! He took home the prestigious Futurity Herdsire of the Year honors in 2003 for his outstanding offspring! Casanova was the high seller at the 2002 Celebrity Futurity Auction where he sold for an amazing $147,000!

Charlevoix's typey characteristics and exceptional bloodlines offer grand possibilities!
